Um euch eine einfache Kommunikationsmöglichkeit zu bieten, sowie auch um
etwas Flachbauflair zu behalten, haben die Admins der Fachschaft einen
Server mit verschiedenen Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten aufgesetzt:

Dort werden die folgenden Dienste angeboten, für die auf der Webseite
auch immer ein Erklärungstextchen zu finden ist:

• Jitsi für Videokonferenzen
  Wirklich einfach zu verwenden. Auf das Symbol auf der Platform klicken
  oder per meet.physik.kit.edu direkt darauf zugreifen, einen Namen für
  den Raum eingeben und Freunde per Link einladen. Kein Account oder
  irgendetwas nötig. Möglich im Browser oder in der App zu öffnen.
  Zum Eröffnen von Räumen für Lerngruppen (digitale grüne Tische) und zum
  gemeinsamen Pause machen.
  Vielleicht sitzt ja schon jemand im Sumpf unter
  meet.physik.kit.edu/Sumpf ;)
• CodiMD
  Gemeinsam zeitgleich Übungsblätter, Zusammenfassungen, Protokolle, …
  schreiben. Nicht in Latex, sondern im einfacheren Markdown-Syntax (Latex
  Formeln sind natürlich dennoch auch möglich).
• Matrix
  Zum Chatten. Auch hier wird es einen digitalen Sumpf geben, allerdings
  habt ihr hier die tolle Möglichkeit öffentliche Gruppen zu einzelnen
  Vorlesungen (Master) oder Semestern (Bachelor) zu öffnen und dort
  Probleme zu diskutieren und Lernpartner zu suchen,... Natürlich auch zum
  Chatten mit euren Freunden geeignet. Auch hier gibt es eine App sowie
  eine Browseranwendung. Und das Beste? Einfach mit eurem u-Account
  anmelden!

Alle angebotene Software ist Open Source und läuft über einen von der
Fakultät Physik gestellten Rechner, aufgesetzt von den Fachschaftsadmins
um euch die Möglichkeit zu geben, gemeinsam zu arbeiten und euch mit
allen Physikstudierenden zu vernetzen.

To provide you with an easy communication option and to preserve the
'Flachbau'-flair the student council network admins have been setting up
a communication server: platform.physik.kit.edu/en

The website is completely translated into english and offers the
following services:

• Jitsi for video conferences

It is really easy to use. Just click on the symbol on the platform or go
directly to meet.physik.kit.edu, type in a name for the room and invite
your friends via link. No account or whatsoever is needed. It is
possible to use it as a browser application or via app on your phone.
Use it to open rooms for study groups (digital green desks) or to have a
break together. Maybe there are already people chilling and/or talking
physics in our Sumpf at meet.physics.kit.edu/Sumpf ;)

• CodiMD
  Write for exercise sheets, summaries, protocolls, … together at the same
  time. Using not LaTeX but the simpler Markdown syntax. (Nethertheless,
  typing LaTeX formulas is still possible.)
• Matrix - coming soon
  To chat with everyone. A Sumpf is also going to be here, but the major
  advance of this service is that you can open groups regarding your
  lectures (master) or your semester (bachelor) and everyone can join.
  This allows you to discuss problems as well as to find study groups and
  much more. Of course you can also chat with your friends. Here as well
  as for Jitsi, there is an app available along with a browser
  application. The best about it? You can easily log in using your
  u-account!

All provided software has a further description on the website, is open
source and hosted on a server provided by the faculty of physics.
Through this the student council wants to enable you to work together
and to connect with other physics students.
